Role: Project Coordinator/ Operations

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia

Employment Type – Contract – 12 months/ 1 year

Experience – 2+ years

Key Responsibilities:

• Represents Worldwide Operations from a product perspective.
• Creates factory strategies and plans aligned with product roadmaps.
• Utilizes metrics to improve new production introduction and product quality at launch and throughout lifecycle.
• Ensures Operations achieves Ready to Ship Release and transitions into production/sustaining.
• Applies Program Review Process (PrP)/Phase Gate Process to transition products from definition to sustaining phase.
• Drives action plans and strategies to reduce overall manufacturing transformation cost.
• Leads quality improvements via risk assessment/mitigation, eliminating defects in design, supplier, NPI, and manufacturing processes.
• Promotes continuous improvement in PrP process, product manufacturability, flexibility, cycle time, and quality.

Key Requirements:

• Works independently; achieves results with leader supervision; seeks help when needed.
• Initiates root cause analysis on assigned tasks/issues; expands scope when required.
• Initiates pre‑defined corrective actions with moderate guidance.
• Completes multiple tasks in project plan; meets deadlines; tracks and reports progress; drives small team/issue resolution with coaching.
• Seeks advice when unsure about prioritization; completes projects as directed.
• Accurately processes and interprets basic data; applies solid problem‑solving approaches.
• Participates in core and extended teams, informing members of actions/plans.
• Follows launch schedule templates with guidance.
• Identifies simple NUDDs (New, Unique, Different, Difficult) and develops mitigation plans with guidance.
• Develops Functional Plans (FP) for simple product launches with guidance.
• Follows build guidelines for engineering and production builds.
• Develops containment plans for simple excursion management.
• Creates Golden Configurations (GCs) for less complex products with guidance.
• Manages previously created BOMs (Bill of Materials) with limited guidance.
• Follows standard practices/procedures in analyzing situations or data with readily available answers.
• Understands that erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays.
