Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days remote) Experience: 2–4 years

About The Role

Join our growing development team and work on diverse projects for clients across Japan and ASEAN. You’ll gain valuable experience with Japanese engineering methodologies while building real-world applications used by thousands of users.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop features for web applications using React, Next.js, Node.js
• Implement responsive UI components based on design mockups
• Build and maintain REST APIs and database schemas
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Participate in agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
• Learn Japanese development standards and best practices
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers
• Debug issues and optimize application performance
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 2–4 years of web development experience
• Strong proficiency in React (hooks, context, component patterns)
• Good understanding of Next.js or similar frameworks
• Node.js experience (Express or similar frameworks)
• JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
• HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
• Experience with Git version control
• Basic understanding of databases (SQL or NoSQL)
• Good communication skills in English
• Eagerness to learn and grow
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Tailwind CSS or CSS-in-JS
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Basic Japanese language skills (N4 or willing to learn)
• Experience working in agile teams
