1. Ensure that all work is carried out as per the contract and client specification. 2. Check that all kitchen tools and equipment are in working order and inform any malfunctioning to the chief cook immediately. 3. Ensure adequate operating knowledge of various kitchen tools and equipment. 4. Check cleanliness and pottering of the service area and equipment. 5. Clear, wash and service all table and eating utensils, 6. Assist in movement and storage of raw materials and equipment, as necessary. 7. Assist the cook in preparation of food items for cooking. 8. Cooperate with superiors for receiving training for upgrading know-how and skills. 9. Perform any other task assigned by his superior within the scope of the job.
