- Hiring Contract Manager in Cyberjaya for data centre PMC. Manages contracts, claims & risk.Job Summary-We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to support the delivery of large-scale data centre / mission-critical developments. -This role will manage the full spectrum of contractual and commercial activities, ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations, commercial strategy, and risk management protocols.-The successful candidate will play a key role in administering contracts, managing claims and variations, and supporting procurement and delivery teams across high-value CSA and MEP packages.Key Responsibilities1. Contract Administration & Governance-Manage and administer contracts across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions-Oversee contract documentation, including subcontracts, amendments, and change orders-Ensure adherence to contract frameworks (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, or bespoke client contracts)-Provide guidance to project teams on contractual obligations, rights, and risk exposure2. Commercial & Claims Management-Lead the assessment and management of variations, claims, and disputes, particularly for MEP and specialist packages-Review contractor submissions including EOT (Extension of Time), cost claims, and change requests-Support negotiation and resolution of commercial issues with contractors and vendors-Maintain detailed records to support commercial positions and dispute avoidance3. Procurement & Package Management-Support procurement activities including preparation of tender documentation, contract terms, and bid evaluations-Provide input on contract strategy for key packages such as:-Mechanical systems (HVAC, cooling infrastructure)-Electrical systems (MV/LV, UPS, generators)-Specialist data centre equipment and installations-Ensure contracts are aligned with project delivery strategies and timelines4. Risk & Compliance Management-Identify and manage contractual and commercial risks across the project-Ensure all contractual processes meet internal governance and compliance standards-Support risk mitigation strategies through proactive contract management and issue resolution5. Stakeholder Management-Act as a key point of contact for contractual matters between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams-Work closely with project managers, cost managers, and engineering teams to ensure alignment-Facilitate effective communication and escalation of contractual issues when requiredQualifications-Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field-Typically 10–15 years of experience in contract management within construction or infrastructure projects-Strong experience administering contracts for large, complex developments, ideally including data centres or mission-critical facilities-Solid understanding of: Contract law and administration, Claims and dispute resolution, Commercial risk management-Experience working with FIDIC, NEC, or similar contract forms-Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skillsBonus Points If You've Worked On-Hyperscale data centres-Mission-critical facilities-Semiconductor manufacturing-Pharmaceutical or life sciences facilities
