Job Description:
Evaluate the creditworthiness of SMEs or individuals applying for loans or credit through the analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and relevant data.
Assess the potential risks involved in extending credit, taking into account factors such as payment history, financial stability, industry trends, and economic conditions.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for managing credit risk to ensure consistent and effective risk management practices.
Utilize credit scoring models to quantify credit risk and make well-informed lending decisions.
Monitor and oversee the organization's credit portfolio, identifying emerging risks, evaluating performance, and implementing strategies to mitigate risk.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines governing credit risk management.
Communicate credit risk assessments and recommendations to senior management, stakeholders, and relevant departments.
Make credit decisions, including approving or rejecting credit applications, setting credit limits, and negotiating terms and conditions.
Job Requirements:
Possess a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting.
Have 5-10 years of experience in credit risk analysis, underwriting, or portfolio management.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills for evaluating financial data and developing effective risk management strategies.
Show a solid understanding of financial principles, including accounting, financial statement analysis, and credit risk metrics.
Be familiar with credit risk management concepts, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
Exhibit effective communication skills for presenting recommendations and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Pay attention to detail to accurately assess credit applications and ensure compliance.
Demonstrate strong decision-making skills for evaluating credit risk factors and making informed lending decisions.
Possess proficiency in relevant software tools and systems used for credit analysis and risk modeling.
Uphold integrity and ethical conduct in all decision-making processes.
