Financial managers handle all the matters in reference to the finance and investments of a company. They manage financial operations of companies such as the assets, liabilities, equity and cash flow aiming to maintain the financial health of the company and operative viability. 1. Accurately prepare and book monthly journal entries, including prepaids, accruals and investments
2. Diligently prepare various balance sheet account reconciliations, obtain the necessary detailed transactions for the account and investigate and correct reconciling items
3. Meticulously review account reconciliations submitted by various departments to ensure accuracy and correcting all detected errors or omissions
4. Utilize analytical review techniques when reviewing journal entries, account activity, and account reconciliations, to ensure accurate reporting by identifying discrepancies or errors
5. Manage the accounting for fixed assets, including but not limited to creating fixed assets in the sub ledger, calculating and applying depreciation, ensuring accuracy of the schedule and reconciling the fixed asset in progress account
6. Prepare bank account entries that are accurate and up to date
7. Methodically review accounts payable entries to ensure accuracy of reporting
8. Provide insight into process inefficiencies and recommend process improvement strategies
9. Preparing various monthly financial reports and ad-hoc reports that support business decisions
10. Support new projects that add value to the organization
11. Build and utilize working relationships with internal business partners across the organization
12. Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.
13. Oversee the operations and development of the company’s finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
14. Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
15. Advise colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company’s finances.
16. Supervise the documentation of the company’s financial status and forecasts.
17. Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.
18. Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.
19. Manage and carry out analysis of current financial reports and forecasts for efficiency, quality data and future business growth including budgets, income statements, balance sheets; tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies; financial management reports to ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations
20. Reporting (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis, or as otherwise required
21. Developing strategic plans for financial analysis to include; financial strategy to achieve agreed targets; effective financial planning
22. Contribute to the development and preparation of the organization's financial strategy and general business planning
23. Manage and conduct presentations and proposals about financial planning
24. Maintain contact with internal and external client/customers for feedback and to obtain client/customer satisfaction information
25. Set an example for team members of commitment, financial knowledge, work ethics and habits and personal character
Maintain accurate financial and other records

Work Requirement
Must possess at least a Professional Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accountancy.
10 years ++ of working experience in the related field.

Good working skills in Microsoft Excel and experience in accounting systems.
Attention to detail and accuracy, with good problem-solving skills.
Ability to work within a team.
