Responsibilities:
1) Financial Leadership:
Provide strategic financial leadership to the organisation, aligning financial goals with overall business objectives.
Collaborate with senior leadership and Board of Directors to contribute to the development and execution of the company's financial strategy.
2) Team Oversight:
Directly manage and oversee the performance of the finance team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure individual and collective success.
Foster a collaborative and positive team culture that emphasizes efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
3)Accounts Payable Oversight:
Supervise and guide the Accounts Team responsible for accounts payable for trade and non-trade vendors.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, adherence to payment schedules, and effective vendor relationship management.
4)Sales and Reporting Oversight:
Supervise and guide the Accounts Team responsible for sales reconciliation, budget tracking, and financial reporting.
Oversee accurate reconciliation of sales and bank transactions, monitor budget adherence, and ensure timely and insightful financial reporting.
5)Financial Planning:
Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
Provide financial insights to support decision-making processes.
6)Risk Management:
Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Work with relevant teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
7)Technology Integration:
Oversee the implementation and utilization of financial management software and technology to streamline processes and enhance accuracy.
8)Communication:
Facilitate effective communication within the finance team and with other departments.
Present financial information and insights to senior management and stakeholders as needed.
9)Performance Evaluation:
Implement a performance management system for the finance team, conducting regular evaluations and providing constructive feedback.
Recognize and reward exceptional performance.
10) Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function.
Implement best practices to optimize financial processes and enhance overall efficiency.
