We teach robotics and STEM to schoolchildren, and we have been doing it since 2012. Most weeks you would be in a primary or secondary school somewhere around the Klang Valley, running a session with a class of kids who have never built a robot before. You don't need a coding background. Plenty of our instructors started with none, and the training covers what you need. What we pay attention to is whether you can explain something clearly to a ten-year-old without making them feel small. WHAT YOU WILL DO - Run robotics and coding sessions in partner schools across Selangor and Kuala Lumpur - Prepare kits and materials before each session, and pack them down afterwards - Help students debug their own builds rather than fixing things for them - Tell the teaching team what worked and what confused people, so the next session is better WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - A Malaysian student currently in a diploma or degree programme, any field - Able to travel to schools on session days - Patient with beginners, and willing to be wrong in front of a class - Available for at least 16 weeks THE DETAILS - RM600 per month - 16 weeks minimum, starting as soon as you are available - Based at our centre in Taipan Business Centre, Subang Jaya, with travel to schools - On-site. The work happens in the room with the students. These placements are supported by TalentCorp's LiKES internship grant, which requires interns to be Malaysian citizens and the placement to run at least 16 weeks. That is why both conditions are firm. There's no formal interview process. We'll have a chat about what you're studying and what you want out of the placement, and go from there. Be STEM Ready is licensed by the Ministry of Education Malaysia and holds International Accreditation by STEM.ORG, USA.
