Human resources managers plan, design and implement processes related to the human capital of companies. They develop programs for recruiting, interviewing, and selecting employees based on a previous assessment of the profile and skills required in the company. Moreover, they manage compensation and development programs for the company's employees comprising trainings, skill assessment and yearly evaluations, promotion, expat programs, and general assurance of the well-being of the employees in the workplace.
1. Oversee and refine employee standards and procedures, using existing HR systems as well as improved or recommended processes.
2. Maintain and enhance employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expense reimbursement, and vacation.
3. Plan, monitor, and appraise HR activities by scheduling management conferences, resolving employee grievances, training managers in how to coach and discipline, and counseling employees and supervisors.
• Responsible for full spectrum of Human Resource functions such as employee manpower’s planning
and recruitment; remuneration and benefits management, training and development, grievances managing and counselling and disciplinary issues.
• Conduct, plan, and coordinate employee on the job training program when there is new branch set up
and to coordinate with the Operations Department on employee’s man-power arrangement, hiring and transfer.
• Keep track on amendment of Human Resource legislation and to come out with proposal of implementation which beneficial to both Company and employees.
• Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource on federal,
state requirements, conducting investigations and maintaining records.
• Establish management guidelines by preparing, updating and recommending human resource
policies and procedures.
• Conduct audit, survey, prepare and present proposal on staff remuneration and benefit packages to ensure the remuneration and welfare packages are competitive in local market.
• Ensure submission of HR report when is required and to consult with government agencies
on routine inspection from the Safety and Health Department and Sarawak Labour Department.
• Plan and conduct staff development program and serve as the in-house trainer to deliver soft skills program to frontliner and to set Customer Service Standard to all employees.
• Ensure cashier courtesy at branch and managing customer complaints and is being dissolved
in effective way.
• Consult with Chief Security and Department/Store Head in investigation on employee misappropriation of fund, petty cash, staff misconduct and carry out appropriate disciplinary action.
• Organize and coordinate staff yearly welfare program like annual dinner/gathering and incentive trip.
• Represent Company in Labour Court and Industrial Court on disputes and to ensure the issues are dissolved accordingly.
Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administrative/HR Management or equivalent.
