Required Skills & Experience • Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking, Linux systems, and network security. • Strong experience with NixOS administration and system configuration. • Hands-on experience with Cilium for Kubernetes networking, security, and observability. • Experience deploying and managing Suricata for Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Prevention (IDS/IPS). • Strong knowledge of nftables for Linux firewall configuration and network packet filtering. • Experience with Zeek (formerly Bro) for network traffic analysis, monitoring, and threat detection. • Strong understanding of Linux networking concepts, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall technologies. • Experience troubleshooting complex networking and security issues in production environments. • Knowledge of container platforms, Kubernetes, and cloud-native networking is highly desirable. • Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or scripting using Bash/Python is an advantage.
