Responsibilities
Purchase the relevant ingredients and all other non-food items including packaging materials
Source for competitive suppliers and secure alternative suppliers
Negotiate for the most optimum price for all purchased items
Assist on cost controlling and to minimize the cost impact in Restaurant Operations
Enter purchase details (invoices, vendor details, pricing) into the databases and place orders that help replenish stock items when it reaches the reorder level to prevent stockout situation.
Liaise with all parties including suppliers, vendors, kitchen pic to ensure goods purchase, quality, storage, delivery lead time are met.
Responsible for accuracy of inventory system, recording accurately the production output and inventory movements. Besides that, ensure purchases do not exceed budget.
Perform goods receiving control and assessment following standard operating procedures
Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or service with CK/ warehouse staff to determine the causes and take corrective actions.
To keep track of all outstanding purchase orders to ensure that goods are delivered on time.
Check and verify the vendor invoices and follow through on the payment.
Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
Organise stock control and ordering of products.
To monitor and update report for inventory management include stock counting.
Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock.
Deal with suppliers and follow up on quality issues, products replacement, products sample requests, pricing, etc.

Well verse with purchasing function and cost control requirements
Good networking with suppliers in the food industry
