Key Responsibilities:

Daily Briefing and Planning: Conduct morning briefings with receiving staff and plan daily receiving activities with the Receiving Supervisor.
Manpower and Equipment: Arrange sufficient manpower and equipment for receiving and unloading incoming containers.
Quality Inspection: Check cartons, pallets, and wrapping for damage or quality issues during unloading.
Receiving Standards: Ensure staff follow receiving procedures, work standards, and safety rules.
Reporting: Ensure receiving clerks update reports accurately and on time.
Communication: Handle calls and emails from suppliers, Supply Chain, and Merchandising regarding receiving matters.
Issue Resolution: Follow up on pending issues and resolve receiving-related problems promptly.
Invoice and PO Monitoring: Check IRRSA records to ensure no invoices are pending for receiving, and ensure all purchase orders (POs) are processed.
Returned Goods: Ensure returned goods are collected by drivers before the end of the shift. Check Goods Return Advice (GRA) for market returns and obtain supplier endorsement before returning stocks.
Supplier Charges: Issue Debit Notes or Tax Invoices to suppliers for chargeable services, such as DC overtime handling, late deliveries, and palletizing.
Operations Meetings: Prepare receiving performance reports and relevant information for operations meetings.
Supplier TTA: Prepare and maintain supplier TTA information.
Housekeeping: Keep receiving loading bays, receiving areas, and flow-through areas clean, tidy, and organized.
Teamwork: Work closely with other DC team members to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
