Chief Optometrist is responsible for overseeing the rendering of effective and efficient Optometry services to all customers in line with an organization’s vision and mission. The incumbent is required to ensure excellent Optometry service delivery and quality assurance of the unit.
Being the main resource person by providing specialized clinical skills, support and consultation for anything related to the Optometry service.

To carry out the functions of an optometrist (refraction, basic ophthalmic history and examination, perform ophthalmic investigations, prescription of spectacles and contact lenses) under supervision.
To participate and contribute to the marketing and expansion activities (e.g. conduct eye screening work and give eye care talks) of the centre as the need arises.
