The role ensures that construction projects are delivered within budget while maintaining contractual compliance and protecting the company’s commercial interests.
Key Responsibilities* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, Bills of Quantities and tender documents.* Conduct quantity take-offs based on construction drawings and specifications.* Source quotations and evaluate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.* Prepare tender comparisons and recommend suitable subcontractors.* Review and manage subcontractor appointments, contracts and purchase orders.* Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders and extension-of-time supporting documents.* Evaluate subcontractor progress claims and recommend payments.* Monitor project costs, commitments, cash flow and budget performance.* Maintain accurate records of measurements, site instructions and variations.* Attend site meetings, progress meetings and commercial discussions.* Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.* Identify potential commercial risks and cost-saving opportunities.* Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts and project financial updates.* Manage contractual correspondence and ensure compliance with contract requirements.* Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, subcontractors and internal project teams.* Prepare final accounts and negotiate the settlement of outstanding claims.* Support project handover and commercial close-out.
