Position: Resident Architect (R.A) - Contract
Location: Kuantan, Pahang
Requirements:
a) At least a Degree in Architecture, Building Technology, Building Construction or any relevant discipline.
b) Five (5) years of working experience as a Resident Architect.
c) Experience working in institutional projects.
d) Able to lead the site team.
e) Able to coordinate with Contractors, Suppliers and Consultants to resolve onsite design and technical issues in a timely manner;
f) Solid understanding on construction details and sequence of works and able to carry out site inspections;
g) Well versed in UBBL, BOMBA and other regulatory requirements;
h) Experience in maintaining proper records of all site activities and coordination works with supervision skills.
i) Able to handle Overall Project and Site Office Administration – weekly site reports etc;
j) Must be proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software.
k) High Integrity, self-disciplined, responsible, self-motivated and dynamic personality;
l) Good command in Bahasa & English (verbal & writing).
m) Good interpersonal skills with leadership qualities and communication skills to effectively interact with client, consultants, contractors and authorities.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- To implement all policies, activities, procedures and instructions which are relevant and as required by the Architect company’s Integrated Management System.
- To be involved in contract administration of the works.
- To familiarize with Uniform Building By-Law, Malaysian Standard (MS) where required and any statutory requirements at site for the purpose of building construction.
- To carry out site inspection, supervision and monitoring of architectural works and any relevant construction works as per inspection and test plan.
- To attend all Project Site Progress meetings.
- To prepare Architectural Weekly Consultant Site Progress Report and to compile with reports prepared by other consultants site representative (RE) and make submission to the Architect and Client/Employer.
- To monitor of all Architect’s Instruction (AI) and keep records of all dates of issuance, dates of commencement and completion of the instructed works.
- To monitor site progress, inspect, record and report status of works at every stage completion.
- To familiarize with any statutory safety and health acts, regulations, orders, code of practices and guidelines at project site and be thorough and proactive in its implementation.
- To carry out control of documents and records at site office as per procedures.
