The Site Safety Supervisor is responsible for implementing and enforcing all site safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA 1994 and FMA 1967. This includes conducting daily site safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, and ensuring that all workers and subcontractors comply with safety regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The Supervisor will lead toolbox meetings, safety inductions, and on-site safety training for all site personnel. In the event of any accident, near miss, or dangerous occurrence, the Supervisor must investigate the incident, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions. The role also requires maintaining and updating all safety documentation, including safety records, inspection logs, and permit-to-work systems. The Supervisor will liaise with DOSH and other regulatory bodies during audits or site visits, and has the authority to stop any unsafe work activity immediately and report to the Project Manager. Additional duties include coordinating emergency response drills, ensuring first-aid facilities are available and accessible, and monitoring waste management and environmental control at the site as required by the project.
Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid Green Book (Site Safety Supervisor registration with DOSH), which is mandatory. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Safety Supervisor at construction sites in Malaysia is required, along with a Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field. Strong knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, CIDB requirements, and local safety regulations is essential. Candidates must have good communication and report-writing skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, the ability to work independently and make quick decisions under pressure, and be computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.
