Provides engineering analysis, evaluation, and coordination on the installation, start up, and operation of coating projects which will allow the plant to maximize yields, improve product quality, and meet budgeted costs. Incumbent will coordinate and integrate all activities in order that plant equipment and systems are efficiently utilized and maintained. Also includes monitoring and reviewing safety/housekeeping requirements for coating projects.

Responsibilities:
Provides integration with plant engineering on new coating process plans and programs.
Continuously works with corporate engineering group to improve existing process designs to reduce production costs.
Assures that new production models are made and evaluated where processes are significantly changed
Provides consultation, analysis evaluation and review on problems of automation, advanced methods and equipment, material handling, etc.
Constantly alert for technological developments in the coating process in industry. Pursues appropriate developments through tests/analysis and communicates the results to interested personnel
Maintains strong working relationship with Process Improvers in the furnace, bath, lehr, and wareroom areas, and jointly implements coating applications and developments.
Ensures application of appropriate problem-solving techniques (i.e. the eight-step problem solving model, DMAIC, 5-Why) on all significant manufacturing issues to ensure that production problems are resolved in the least amount of time, systems are established to eliminate reoccurrence of the production problems, and process improvement initiatives are implemented on a timely basis Work
Requirements:
Degree in related Engineering field, and or equivalent experience in technical field.
Supervisory and leadership experience in a continuous manufacturing setting
2 to 4 years of experience in the manufacturing industry
Excellent interpersonal, coaching and communication skills
Ability to facilitate groups in an employee involvement environment
Excellent working knowledge of SPC, process capability, and quality systems
Overview of all necessary plant and department safety procedures.
Overview of all process operations, equipment, and troubleshooting.
Basic computer skills-Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Job Responsibilities: - Assist Superior on daily monitoring of sectional operation & performance. - Formulate sectional short term plan (monthly) with available resources (man, machine, material). - To adhere the standard in order to achieve products quality standard. - Weekly / monthly check and submit sectional performance report on output, scrap, quality and safety to Superior. - To promote the good morale via training programme, effective counseling, coaching and leadership. - Develop work instruction according to production process. - To keep on time delivery, minimize manufacturing cost and maximize resources utilization. - To ensure good housekeeping at production areas and workplace. - Training of subordinates. - Ensure rejected parts are properly identified & does not mix with good parts. - To assist in running production & reduce production downtime. - To co-ordinate the work for better productivity and quality. - To discipline subordinate for poor performance. - To possess good human relationship with all employees. - To provide suggestion for improvement. Job Requirements: - Minimum Degree / Diploma in Manufacturing or any related field. - Minimum 2 years of working experience in manufacturing industry. - Must have ability to counsel and manage a group of people. - Good communication and presentation skills. - Required languages: English and Bahasa Malaysia.
