Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Textile, Fashion Design, or related field
- Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant experience are welcome
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Strong fashion sense and knowledge of fashion design
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, and English
- Able to travel overseas for job assignments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Creative, resourceful, and willing to take on challenges
- Able to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good team player with strong collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare purchasing plans based on allocated budget
- Liaise with local and overseas suppliers for sampling, production capacity, order booking, and delivery timelines
- Arrange fabric purchasing and conduct seasonal merchandise reviews
- Ensure sample quality, finishing, and fitting measurements meet specifications before production
- Analyze fashion trends through websites, subscriptions, publications, and market research (local & overseas)
- Compile trend analysis reports for business insights
- Collaborate with sales and management teams to develop new styles based on consumer preferences
- Design and develop new fashion concepts and applications
- Conduct monthly review on sell-out performance and inventory levels
- Review rejected items monthly for markdown or damage handling
- Perform market surveys (at least once a month) to monitor trends, competitors, pricing, and merchandise display
- Prepare brand profiles and catalogs when required
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned
