About the role:
As an Account Assistant at O2 Klinik Sdn Bhd, you will support the financial accounting and reporting functions, mainly in accounts payable. This full-time position is based in Ayer Itam, Penang, and plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of the company’s financial records and statements.
What you'll be doing:
1. Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process and record vendor invoices, ensuring that they are accurate and in compliance with company policies.
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and follow-up on overdue payments.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances to the general ledger.
2. Bank Reconciliation
- Assist in reconciling bank accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in bank statements.
3. Data Entry & Record Keeping
- Input financial transactions into accounting software.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and files for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
4. Expense Management
- Review and process employee expense claims, ensuring they are in line with company policies.
- Track and manage company credit card expenditures.
5. Audit Assistance
- Assist with the internal and external audit process by providing necessary documentation and financial information.
- Respond to auditor queries and help resolve any discrepancies.
6. General Administrative Support
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of contracts, agreements, and other financial documentation.
- Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
7. Communication & Coordination
- Collaborate with other departments (such as procurement, admin, HR, Marketing and Operations) to resolve issues and ensure smooth financial processes.
- Communicate effectively with vendors & customers, internal teams, and management regarding payment issues or discrepancies.
What we're looking for:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA/CPA is an added advantage).
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a similar role
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to solve problems and handle discrepancies efficiently.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
