• Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific field

• Preferably within the chemical or aesthetic industry related to skincare

• Strong technical knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate complex information to customers

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships

• Proactive and self-motivated, with a keen eye for detail

• Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Proficiency in mandarin and English preferred

A Production Chemist in the skincare industry manages the mass production of formulations, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with GMP standards. They oversee the transition from lab-scale to manufacturing, troubleshoot formulation issues, test raw materials and finished goods, and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities & Job Scope:

• Production Monitoring & Optimization:

  • Overseeing the batch manufacturing process for products like creams, lotions, and serums to ensure consistency.

  • Troubleshooting batch issues and adjusting formulations during production.

  • Streamlining manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

• Quality Control (QC) and Assurance (QA):

  • Planning, conducting, and monitoring testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.

  • Ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), ISO 9001, and halal standards.

  • Analyzing statistical quality data and implementing corrective actions (CAPA).

• Documentation and Regulatory Compliance:

  • Preparing and reviewing Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), technical documents, and PIF (Product Information File).

  • Maintaining records of equipment calibration and sanitation.

• Technical Support:

  • Assisting in scaling up new products from R&D lab scale to full production.

  • Investigating customer complaints or batch failures.
