Job Summary

The Dental Surgical Assistant supports dentists during clinical and surgical procedures, ensures proper preparation of instruments and treatment rooms, maintains infection control standards, and provides quality patient care to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Assistance

• Assist dentist during dental procedures and minor oral surgeries
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
• Set up treatment rooms before patient arrival
• Maintain proper suction and instrument handling during procedures
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout treatment

Infection Control & Sterilization

• Follow strict sterilization and infection control protocols
• Clean and disinfect instruments and treatment areas
• Maintain cleanliness of dental chairs and equipment
• Ensure compliance with clinic hygiene standards

Patient Care

• Prepare patients before procedures
• Provide post-treatment instructions as directed by dentist
• Monitor patient condition during procedures
• Assist with patient positioning and comfort

Administrative Support

• Record treatment and update patient records
• Prepare materials for upcoming procedures
• Assist in stock control and inventory management
• Ensure clinic supplies are adequately maintained

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or Diploma in Dental Nursing or related field
• Experience in dental clinic is preferred (fresh graduates may apply)
• Basic knowledge of sterilization and infection control
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Responsible, disciplined, and willing to learn
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
