About the Role
As a Dialysis Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering safe, high-quality haemodialysis treatment while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the dialysis process. You will work closely with nephrologists and the healthcare team to monitor patient conditions, operate dialysis equipment, and provide compassionate care to patients with chronic kidney disease.
You will play a key role in maintaining clinical excellence, infection control standards, and adherence to established dialysis protocols and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform haemodialysis treatment according to established clinical protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Prepare and operate dialysis machines and ensure proper machine setup prior to treatment
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and clinical condition before, during, and after dialysis sessions
- Assess vascular access sites including AV fistula, graft, and catheter access
- Administer medications as prescribed by the nephrologist
- Respond promptly to dialysis-related complications and emergencies
- Maintain strict infection control practices and patient safety standards
- Ensure accurate documentation of dialysis treatment, patient observations, and clinical records
- Educate patients and their families on dialysis care, treatment compliance, and lifestyle management
- Assist in maintaining dialysis equipment and coordinating machine maintenance when required
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, SOPs, and healthcare regulatory standards
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with Post Basic Certification in Renal / Dialysis
- Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- Minimum 2 years experience in dialysis centre or renal unit
- Strong clinical knowledge in haemodialysis procedures and patient monitoring
- Good understanding of infection control and patient safety protocols
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
