M&E Engineer

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning

• Assist project managers in developing M&E project plans, schedules, and milestones.
• Ensure M&E requirements are clearly defined and integrated into overall project timelines.

2. Design & Coordination

• Review and interpret M&E design drawings for compliance with codes, regulations, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, consultants, and contractors to resolve discrepancies between civil, structural, and architectural drawings.
• Prepare and submit Coordination Services Drawings (CSD) and follow up for approvals.
• Oversee site installation and integration of M&E systems, ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Support quality inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary.

3. Communication & Reporting

• Act as a liaison between consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Provide technical updates and progress reports on M&E works to the project manager.

4. Budget & Cost Control

• Work with the finance and procurement teams to track costs for M&E components.
• Identify cost-effective solutions while maintaining safety and quality standards.

5. Risk & Safety Management

• Identify and report risks related to M&E systems; assist in developing mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
• 3–4 years of relevant working experience in M&E engineering within construction or interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of M&E systems, building codes, and industry practices.
• Proficiency in design and coordination software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP).
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
