INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Land & Planning General Manager to lead and oversee land development planning activities for the Company’s property development projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge in statutory planning, land development processes, and authority submission procedures, with proven experience in managing township or mixed-development projects. This role requires strong analytical, coordination, and stakeholder management skills to ensure successful project implementation in line with the Company’s development objectives.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for managing strategic land and development planning activities, including master layout planning, land conversion, subdivision exercises, and statutory approvals for the Company’s development projects. The role involves conducting feasibility studies, preparing development concepts, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and planning requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments, consultants, and government authorities to facilitate the smooth execution of property development projects.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Development Planning
- Manage and provide technical expertise on all land and planning related matters for ongoing and future development projects.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, planners, and external consultants throughout the conceptualization, planning, and execution phases of development projects.
- Ensure all development proposals and plans are aligned with the Company’s business objectives, market trends, and applicable statutory requirements.
- Oversee the preparation, coordination, and timely submission of all development drawings and planning documents.
2. Regulatory & Authority Compliance
- Liaise with local authorities and relevant government agencies to obtain planning approvals, permits, and statutory clearances.
- Ensure compliance with zoning requirements, planning guidelines, environmental regulations, and relevant development policies.
- Monitor and stay updated on changes in land development regulations, policies, and authority requirements.
3. Stakeholder & Consultant Management
- Coordinate and manage external consultants, contractors, surveyors, planners, and legal advisors.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with government authorities, agencies, and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate discussions and negotiations to secure necessary planning and layout approvals.
4. Project Management & Reporting
- Carry out feasibility assessments and develop comprehensive development proposals and conceptual plans for potential projects.
- Monitor project schedules, planning milestones, and budget-related matters for planning activities.
- Identify potential project risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
- Organize and lead project coordination meetings and prepare progress reports for Senior Management.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 6 to 10 years of relevant working experience in land development, township planning, master planning, or property development.
- Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Town & Urban Planning, Architecture, Estate Management, or related disciplines.
- Registration with the Board of Town Planners Malaysia (LPBM) and/or membership with the Malaysia Institute of Planners (MIP) will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of statutory planning procedures, land matters, and authority submission processes.
- Excellent liaison, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in dealing with local authorities, government agencies, consultants, and contractors.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination capabilities.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects within tight timelines.
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
