About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor / Contract Executive to manage the tendering, contract administration and cost control functions for development projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are delivered within budget, timeline and contractual compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full tendering process, including preparation, evaluation and award of contracts.
- Review and analyze tender documents, drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
- Prepare and manage contract documentation, including Letter of Award (LOA), Bills of Quantities (BQ), agreements and variations.
- Administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-contract to final account.
- Evaluate and verify progress claims, variation orders (VO) and final accounts submitted by contractors and subcontractors.
- Monitor and control project costs, budgets and expenditures.
- Conduct site inspections to verify work progress, workmanship and materials prior to claim certification.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors and project teams on contractual and commercial matters.
- Assist in resolving contractual issues, claims and disputes.
- Prepare regular contractual and cost reports for management review.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, contract administration or related roles.
- Experience in property development or construction projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of tendering, contract management, BQ, cost control and project lifecycle.
- Familiar with construction contracts (PAM, JKR, FIDIC) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
