Resident Engineer (Site)

Role Purpose
To provide full-time on-site engineering leadership and technical supervision, ensuring construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on site.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and contract requirements.
• Act as the primary technical authority and interface on site.
• Coordinate with Resident Architect, Clerk of Works, M&E Inspectors, consultants, and contractors.
• Review and endorse method statements, shop drawings, and material submissions.
• Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with codes, standards, and approvals.
• Identify defects, non-conformities, and technical risks; ensure timely rectification.
• Implement and maintain site quality control and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).
• Monitor progress, report technical constraints, and support progress claims, variations, and EOT assessments.
• Maintain site records, inspection reports, and technical documentation.

Reporting Line
Reports to the Project Manager and works closely with the Resident Architect.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Electrical).
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) (where applicable).
• Minimum 3–5 years relevant site supervision experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, drawings, and specifications.
• Familiar with quality management systems, safety, and statutory compliance.
• Proven ability to manage site coordination and technical issues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM5,000.00 per month
