Job Description

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete and accurate financial records by ensuring all accounting entries are properly recorded and comply with applicable accounting principles.
  • Handle end-to-end accounts payable activities, including invoice verification, payment processing, and coordination with suppliers on billing matters.
  • Administer accounts receivable operations, covering billing issuance, receipt tracking, and balance reconciliation.
  • Track overdue receivables and work closely with internal and external parties to facilitate prompt collections.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements for management review.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of tax filings, ensuring adherence to Malaysian tax and statutory requirements.
  • Organise and maintain supporting documents to meet regulatory compliance standards and assist during internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to the formulation of financial plans and long-range strategies in line with organisational objectives.
  • Monitor cash position, funding needs, and working capital to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
  • Assist in managing relationships with banks and financial institutions, including treasury-related activities.
  • Support capital expenditure planning by analysing investment proposals and developing financial projections.
  • Assess financial and operational risks within accounting processes and recommend appropriate control measures.
  • Provide financial analysis and evaluation support for corporate initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and strategic collaborations.
  • Perform financial due diligence and related analytical work as required by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • Solid understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical capability with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate well within a team environment.
  • Have experience in refinery industrial more advantage
  • Willing to travel

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
