Job description
To assist in the medical and administrative operations of Poliklinik NCSM Johor and ensure high-quality nursing care and patient support services.
To support clinic operations, health screening programmes, and community outreach activities organized by NCSM Johor.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Clinical Duties
- Assist Medical Officers during consultations, examinations, and medical procedures.
- Carry out nursing procedures and health screening activities at the clinic and outreach programmes.
- Monitor patient condition and provide nursing care support.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure proper infection control and safety procedures are followed.
- Prepare consultation and treatment rooms before and after patient sessions.
- Monitor and maintain medical supplies, consumables, and medication stock.
- Ensure emergency trolley and medical equipment are properly maintained and ready for use.
- Conduct iFOBT and other approved screening procedures when required.
- Liaise with laboratories regarding samples, results, and procedures.
- Assist with patient follow-up and appointment coordination.
Community Health, Outreach & Professional Responsibilities
- Assist in health talks, awareness programmes, workshops, and exhibitions.
- Support outreach and community screening activities organized by NCSM Johor.
- Assist in training volunteers or students attached to the clinic when required.
Administrative & Operational Duties
- Report operational matters and clinic updates to the State Office Assistant Manager & Head of Clinic.
- Assist in maintaining smooth clinic workflow and patient management.
- Support preparation of clinic reports and documentation.
- Assist in preparing staff duty rosters when required.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external healthcare providers.
Department Responsibilities
- To liaise with other staff to ensure smooth and effective operational systems.
- To attend meetings as required with other departments in NCSM and other organizations
Health and Safety
- Foster and support commitment to achieving the highest level of health and safety, including identification and reporting of all hazards, providing assistance in resolving issues that may cause harm to staff, and working safely at all times
Any other duties as assigned by the Managements.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- Possess a recognized Diploma or Degree in Nursing recognized by the relevant authorities.
- Fresh graduates with valid nursing registration and APC are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in clinic operations, outpatient care, community healthcare, or health screening programmes will be an added advantage.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to provide compassionate and professional nursing care to patients.
- Able to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
- Responsible, organized, and attentive to detail.
- Willing and able to travel for community outreach programmes, health screenings, and external healthcare activities organized by National Cancer Society Malaysia.
- Able to work flexible hours when necessary.
- Basic knowledge in clinical documentation, infection control, and patient care procedures.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
