Job Description

1. Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of the medical and healthcare policy of the Boarding House.

2. To take boarders who are ill to the clinic or hospital to see a doctor when necessary.

3. To carry out the doctor’s instructions as it pertains to convalescent care for the boarder, including monitoring temperature, blood pressure, oxygen level etc., administering medication and basic first aid care.

4. To document clinic visits, keep treatment notes of boarders who stay at the Sick Bay, and keep record of sick bay supplies and equipment.

5. To liaise with the School Nurse, doctors, Boarding House Parents, parents and teachers when necessary with regard to boarders’ health needs, including ensuring proper documentation of communication.

6. To manage the smooth operation of the boarding House Sick Bay including keeping the Sick Bay clean and neat, ensuring medical supplies are stocked and maintaining equipment.

7. Ensure the proper care of boarders who are quarantined due to infectious diseases.

8. To accompany boarders who warded at the hospital until his/her parents or guardians arrive at the hospital.

9. Oversee meals for boarders in the Sick Bay, including liaison with the school cafeteria for meal delivery to the Sick Bay.

10. To organize or conduct training in any appropriate health care topics for Boarding House Parents as and when it is feasible.

11. To stand in for Boarding House Parents’ operational / general duties as and when needed during regular work hours if there are no boarders requiring medical attention presently. This includes Boarders’ Sports, Preparatory Time, Excursions, Meal times, and other boarding activities/events.

12. To attend Boarding House meetings and to perform any other tasks which the Head may reasonably assign.

• A minimum of Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• ICT competencies to effectively perform tasks (Google Suite, Microsoft Office)
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Relevant experience in the respective field is preferred
• Fresh graduates with positive attitude, career outlooks and passion to develop themselves are encouraged to apply.
