Responsibilities :
SOTC Play & Development Sdn. Bhd (Playvelope) is a dynamic special needs intervention and educational centre committed to empowering children with diverse developmental needs through personalized, evidence-based interventions.
Due to our business expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to support our growing multidisciplinary therapy team in delivering holistic care and early intervention services.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions tailored to each child’s unique needs and goals.
- Assess children’s functional abilities and developmental needs through standardized evaluations, observations, and caregiver interviews.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, diagnosis, and family goals.
- Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to improve fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care, handwriting, play, and daily living activities.
- Work with children who have developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), ADHD, physical disabilities, or other conditions.
- Adapt tasks and environments to support participation in school, home, and community settings.
- Educate and guide parents/caregivers on home-based exercises and strategies to promote progress.
- Collaborate with other professionals such as Speech Therapists, Physiotherapists, Special Needs Teachers, and Clinical Psychologists.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
Requirements/ Qualification:
- Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Licensure/Certification: Registered and licensed to practice as an Occupational Therapist by Malaysian Occupational Therapy Association (MOTA) is a plus.
- Experience: Preferably 1–3 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy, though fresh graduates with a strong interest in pediatrics are welcome.
- Strong understanding of child development and therapeutic principles.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with children, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Patience, creativity, and empathy in engaging children with various needs.
- Ability to create engaging, child-centered therapy sessions.
- Familiarity with sensory integration therapy, neurodevelopmental techniques (NDT), or play-based therapy is an added advantage.

Working time & day:
- Monday - Friday : 7.00 am - 4.00 pm/8.00 am - 5.00 pm/9.00 am - 6.00 pm
- Saturday : 8.00 am - 1.00 pm
