We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team at KY MAJU MART SDN.BHD. in Kuantan, Pahang. As a full-time Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial accounting and reporting functions of our company. This is a crucial role that will have a significant impact on the overall success and financial health of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
• Manage the general ledger, including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining the integrity of the financial records
• Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing valuable insights and recommendations to support the company's financial planning and decision-making
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to the management team, highlighting key trends and performance indicators
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and implement necessary process improvements
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with a professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the retail or consumer goods industry
• Excellent knowledge of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and regulatory requirements
• Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications, with a strong aptitude for data analysis and problem-solving
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of accounting professionals
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional integrity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
