QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Diploma in Radiography

EXPERIENCED REQUIRED

• Qualified from School of Radiography.

• 1 year experienced.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

The radiographer would be responsible for providing a polite, an efficient and prompt X-ray services to patients as well as make them available at all times to the radiologist or Consultants.

MAIN DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

1.To implement the policies and procedures for the Diagnostic Imaging Department in liaison with the management.   

2.To ensure that day to day operations are carried out efficiently, thus ensuring quality service is provided to patients.

3.To assist the Chief radiographer to maintain and take cares the X-ray equipment and their accessories and other machines in the department.

4.To assist in the daily operational and administration of the department in liaison with the Chief radiographer.

5.To assist the Chief Radiographer to supervise, train and orientate other radiographers and lower categories staff.

 6.To take good quality radiographs and to keep low radiation dose tom patients.

7.To provide highest quality of patients care at all times to internal and external customers.

8.To ensure tidiness, cleanness and hygienic measures to prevent cross infection in the department are maintained at all times.

9.To do overtime and other duties as designated by the Chief radiographer.

10.To specialized in MRI  procedures  as instructed

11.To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:-

• To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons;

• To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty;

• To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer;

• To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.

12.Participate actively in any other new service that is introduced by the department. Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, HACCP, MSQH Accreditation Standards, Joint Commission International Accreditation and NPSG.

13.Ensure to actively participate in all 5S activities

14.Ensure the policies on patients and family’s right are addressed at all times.

15.Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient safety (2008)

16.Ensure adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP)

17.Work collaboratively with leaders, clinicians, staff, visitors and patients in the development and promotion of behaviors, environment and patient care solutions.
