We are looking for a Storekeeper to assist our team at Quest Hotel MidPort Port Dickson

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect all incoming shipments for quality, quantity, and expiration dates. Ensure they align perfectly with Market Lists and Purchase Orders (PO) before signing any acceptance forms.
  • Meticulously compare physical packing lists against POs. Document and report any variances, shortages, or damages via an Outstanding Goods Report to the Purchasing Officer and relevant Department Heads immediately.
  • Control the release of stock by ensuring every item is backed by a Store Requisition Form bearing the authorized signature of the specific Head of Department.
  • Maintain high data integrity by updating Inventory Cards (Bin Cards) manually and recording all stock movements (in/out) daily.
  • Implement and enforce the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method. Monitor shelf life and "use-by" dates to minimize wastage and proactively flag slow-moving items to management.
  • Monitor stock levels against established minimum/maximum par levels. Liaise with the Purchasing Department to initiate orders, preventing "out-of-stock" situations for daily operations.
  • Ensure all Delivery Orders (DO) and original invoices are cross-checked and submitted to the Accounts Payable department promptly to facilitate accurate vendor payments.
  • Lead the Monthly Physical Stock Count. Investigate any variances between physical counts and system balances, and submit a detailed reconciliation report to the Purchasing Officer.
  • Categorize and arrange goods neatly by department or type. Maintain a clean, hazard-free environment to ensure both safety and fast retrieval of items.
  • Maintain strict control over store access to prevent unauthorized entry, pilferage, or unrecorded stock movement.
  • Ensure proper handling of goods (especially fragile or hazardous items) and report any maintenance needs for storage equipment, such as shelving or refrigeration units.
  • Execute any additional tasks, such as emergency local purchasing or inter-departmental logistics, as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 or 2 years of experience in storekeeping, specifically within the hotel or hospitality industry.
  • Minimum SPM or equivalent.
  • High level of honesty and integrity in handling company assets.
  • Proven track record of excellent attendance and punctuality.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
