We are looking for a Demi Chef to assist our kitchen at Quest Hotel MidPort Port Dickson
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the immediate superior and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations at all times.
- Assist in supervising and coordinating kitchen staff tasks in the absence of the superior.
- Contribute to the development of a strong and cohesive kitchen team through guidance and support.
- Assist the immediate superior in preparing requisitions and orders for kitchen supplies.
- Support monthly inventory checks and ensure proper stock management of all store items.
- Handle in-house guest requests and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Oversee kitchen and restaurant operations during the absence of the superior.
- Provide training and guidance to Commis Chefs, Kitchen Helpers, and new team members to maintain high culinary and hygiene standards.
- Ensure consistency in food presentation, taste, and quality in accordance with established standards.
- Supervise the preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes within the kitchen.
- Assist with daily mise-en-place and uphold the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality at all times.
Requirement:
- Be hardworking, independent, passionate about the maintaining quality, and creative.
- Minimum 2 or 3 year experience in a cafe / restaurant.
