Job Summary:

The Head of Finance is responsible for managing the overall financial health of the company, including daily financial operations, reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and compliance with tax and audit requirements. You will play a key role in establishing a stable, transparent, and scalable financial system for the company.

You will be guided by an internationally experienced CFO who will coach and mentor you step by step until you are fully ready to lead the finance department independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the company’s finance and accounting team.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Develop and monitor budgets and conduct variance analysis.
• Manage cash flow planning and ensure financial stability.
• Ensure compliance with taxation, audit, and legal financial requirements.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closings.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and banks.
• Improve financial systems, internal controls, SOPs, and reporting efficiency.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial data and documentation.

Required Traits:

• Detail-oriented & analytical – Careful in reviewing numbers and reports.
• Firm & responsible – Able to enforce compliance and protect financial integrity.
• Strong communicator – Can explain financial matters to non-finance teams clearly.
• Highly disciplined – Delivers timely and accurate reports without fail.
• Calm & proactive – Acts early to prevent financial risks, doesn’t panic under pressure.
• Willing to learn – Open to coaching and professional development.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA, CPA preferred).
• At least 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, UBS) and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of tax, audit, and financial reporting standards.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, office-based role.
• Must be available for management meetings and work closely with the company founder.
• Willing to work additional hours during monthly closing or audit season.
