Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the resort’s financial transactions, with a specialized focus on the Accounts Payable cycle. This role ensures that all vendor payments, staff claims, and operational expenses are recorded accurately and paid on time, maintaining the resort’s financial integrity and strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable Management: Handle the full cycle of AP, including verifying invoices against Purchase Orders (POs), processing payments, and performing 3-way matching.
- Vendor Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, reconciling monthly statements, and resolving any billing discrepancies.
- Expense Control: Review and process employee expense claims and petty cash, ensuring compliance with resort policies and "Fiscal Laurel Sdn Bhd" guidelines.
- Month-End Closing: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing accruals and aging reports for the AP ledger.
- Financial Reporting: Support the Director of Finance in preparing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Compliance & Audit: Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for audit readiness; ensure all transactions comply with Malaysian tax laws (SST) and accounting standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional qualification like ACCA/CPA is an added advantage).
- Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of accounting experience, specifically within the Hospitality/Hotel industry.
- Technical Skills: * Proven experience in Accounts Payable functions.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Infrasis, Opera, Timesoft or similar Hotel PMS/Finance tools).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Soft Skills: High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced resort environment.

Pay: RM2,084.59 - RM6,500.00 per month
