Job Summary:
The Quality Control (QC) Inspector ensures that all incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products conform to engineering drawings, specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
This role is essential in maintaining the product quality, safety, reliability, and performance of all commercial kitchen equipment manufactured by the factory.
What you'll be doing:
- Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished goods for compliance with technical drawings, product specifications, workmanship standards, and purchase orders (P.O.).
- Conduct (but not limited to) dimensional inspection, visual inspection (defects / workmanship), functional tests, surface finish inspections, alignment verification, and assembly/part conformity to given specification.
- Verify product compliance to engineering drawings, material specification, wiring diagrams, and assembly requirements.
- Utilize tools/equipment such as (but not limited to); Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Measuring Tapes, Dial Indicators, Feeler
- Gauges, Clamp Meters, Tapered Gauge, and other QC tools required for proper inspection.
- To perform any other inspection-related tasks/issues deemed necessary or compulsory as instructed by the QM/QC Manager.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Record inspection results in EPICOR ERP System or any required QM documentation.
- Raise Nonconformance Reports (NCR) for any non-conforming material, component, product detected.
- Highlight to the relevant Person-in-charge (PIC) should there are any minor issues (repairable at reporting time) arise during inspection activities.
- Ensure compliance with internal documentation standards (forms, logs, checklists, labels, tagging, packaging, etc.)
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with Production, Procurement, Engineering, Main Store, and QM/QC teams to resolve quality issues immediately.
- Liaise with departments involved regarding discrepancies (major & minor), investigation findings, and containment actions.
- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Recommend improvements to inspection procedures, sampling methods, and quality control practices.
What we're looking for:
- Technical Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Preferably graduates from Malaysian Polytechnic, IKM, or TVET institutions.
- Preferably 1~2 years’ experience in QC Inspection within metal fabrication, welding, assembly, or equipment manufacturing industries.
- Candidates familiar with Commercial Kitchen Equipment components & assembly requirements will be prioritised.
- Proficient in using inspection tools & equipment, reading engineering/technical drawings, and understanding workmanship standards.
- Strong attention to detail, disciplined, and responsible working attitude.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office suite).
Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
