Developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting regular site inspections, and providing safety training to workers. They are also responsible for investigating accidents, ensuring compliance with regulations, enforcing the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and promoting a strong safety culture on the site.
Planning and implementation
- Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and plans for the construction site.
- Identify potential hazards and assess risks, then develop and implement strategies to mitigate them.
Training and education
- Provide safety orientations and training to new employees and ongoing training for all workers on safe work practices.
- Instruct employees on proper housekeeping, the use of tools and equipment, and specific health and safety rules.
Inspections and enforcement
- Conduct daily or regular inspections of the worksite, equipment, and facilities to ensure they are safe and compliant.
- Enforce safety policies, regulations, and the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Correct unsafe acts, practices, and conditions immediately or report them to the appropriate manager.
Incident investigation and reporting
- Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Complete and submit accurate accident reports.
- Ensure that injured employees receive prompt medical attention.
Communication and collaboration
- Communicate safety protocols and expectations to employees and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers, employees, and subcontractors to create a proactive safety culture.
- Act on employee health and safety complaints and suggestions.
Pay: RM3,600.00 - RM8,800.00 per month
