Administrative Assistant (Inventory & Business Analysis)

Location: Kuching, Sarawak
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and detail oriented Administrative Assistant to support retail operations through inventory analysis, stock performance monitoring, and business reporting. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working with data, identifying trends, and providing insights that contribute to better business decisions.

You will work closely with the Buying Team and Retail Operations Team to monitor inventory performance, optimize stock movement, and support overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze stock turnover, inventory movement, and buying performance.
  • Track and evaluate shop performance to identify business opportunities and potential risks.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports, dashboards, and performance analyses.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock audit activities.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory control and monitoring strategies.
  • Provide recommendations to improve stock efficiency and overall business performance.
  • Collaborate with the Buying Team, Retail Operations Team, and other stakeholders to achieve company objectives.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and business summaries for management review.
  • Manage documentation and maintain an organized filing system.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items when required.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis functions).
  • Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools will be an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
