BJAK is building an automation platform that powers insurance operations across quotes, renewals, policy issuance, claims, payments and customer servicing workflows.

We are hiring Backend Engineers who enjoy building reusable systems, workflow automation and backend infrastructure that support operational scale across multiple markets. This role is remote and works closely with our Malaysia-based engineering and operations teams.

The Mission

Build backend systems and platform foundations that automate insurance operations across teams, products and countries.

What You’ll Own

• Develop backend services for BJAK’s insurance automation platform.
• Build reusable workflow logic across quotes, claims, endorsements and policy servicing flows.
• Improve APIs, backend architecture, event flows and data models.
• Reduce operational overhead through automation and backend improvements.
• Collaborate with product, operations, QA, frontend and DevOps teams.
• Improve monitoring, documentation, maintainability and reliability.
• Support regional scalability across multiple insurance markets.
