What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar Accounts Manager or senior accountant role, preferably within the Service industry. Experience in the Food and Beverage industry is an added advantage

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and relevant regulatory requirements

• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Experience in using the UBS accounting application will be an added advantage.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both financial and non-financial stakeholders. An ability to speak and write in Malay, English and Mandarin will be an added advantage.

• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines

• A team player with the ability to mentor and develop junior members of the accounting team

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our dynamic team at GEST HOLDINGS SDN. BHD. located at GLO DAMANSARA MALL (next to Damansara Kim, Petaling Jaya). As the Accounts Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial accounting and reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making. This is a full-time position based in our Kuala Lumpur office.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations of the companies in the group.

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring they are accurate and comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations

• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and adjusted appropriately

• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports to support the management team's decision-making

• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, to provide financial information and address any queries or concerns

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the accounting function

• Supervise and provide training and guidance to the accounting team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively
