Requirements

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Barista in a specialty or upscale café environment

• Strong knowledge of coffee origins, brewing methods, and flavor profiles

• Proven experience in espresso calibration and grinder adjustment

• Skilled in latte art (e.g., rosetta, tulip, free pour designs)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Well-groomed, professional appearance with strong attention to detail

• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced, high-standard environment

• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in coffee skills (e.g., SCA or equivalent)

• Passion for coffee innovation and continuous learning

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and specialty beverages with precision and consistency

• Demonstrate advanced latte art and ensure presentation meets upscale standards

• Dial in espresso, calibrate grinders, and maintain optimal extraction throughout service

• Provide detailed recommendations to guests, showcasing strong product knowledge

• Deliver refined, personalized customer service aligned with premium hospitality standards

• Monitor coffee quality, freshness, and stock levels (beans, milk, syrups, etc.)

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with hygiene standards

• Train and mentor junior baristas and service crew when required

• Work closely with management to uphold brand standards and improve service quality

• Handle customer feedback professionally and proactively
