Accounting Manager

Location:  Johor Bahru

 About the Role

As our Accounting Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations of our growing organisation. You will work closely with leadership to ensure financial integrity, drive process improvements, and support strategic decision-making. ### Key Responsibilities

- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities

- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes

- Monitor compliance with local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal controls

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business growth

- Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance performance and capability

- Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit processes effectively

- Drive process improvements and support ERP/digitalisation initiatives

What We're Looking For

-Relevent accounting degree is not a must as long as candidates can prove their knowledge in Accounting

- Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, including team leadership

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and MFRS/IFRS standards

- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment

- Proficient in English (spoken and written) ; Mandarin proficiency is a plus for liaising with regional stakeholders
