Job Requirements

Education

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in:

  • Logistics Management

  • Transportation Management

  • Supply Chain Management

  • Maritime Studies

  • Traffic Management

  • Business Administration (with logistics/transport focus)

Experience

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Candidates with internship experience in logistics, port operations, warehouse, or transportation will be an advantage.

Knowledge

• Basic understanding of:

  • Logistics & Supply Chain Operations

  • Transportation Planning

  • Terminal / Port Operations (preferred but not mandatory)

  • Safety & Operational Procedures

Skills & Competencies

• Strong coordination and organizational skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.

• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Able to handle shift-based or operational working hours if required.

• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Reporting).

Language

Fresh graduates from Logistics / Transportation / Traffic Management background
Strong interest in port, terminal, or shipping operations
Willing to work in operational environment (yard, terminal, field coordination)
Good learning attitude and leadership potential

Job Responsibilities

1. Terminal / Port Operations Coordination

• Supervise daily terminal operations including cargo handling, loading and unloading activities.

• Coordinate vessel berthing, cargo flow, and yard operations to ensure smooth workflow.

• Monitor operational efficiency and ensure timely completion of cargo operations.

2. Logistics & Transport Coordination

• Coordinate transportation arrangements between terminal, warehouse, and delivery points.

• Liaise with truck drivers, transport companies, and internal logistics teams.

• Ensure proper scheduling of inbound and outbound cargo movement.

3. Operational Planning & Monitoring

• Assist in planning operational manpower, equipment, and shift scheduling.

• Monitor productivity of operational teams and equipment utilization.

• Report operational progress, delays, and issues to management.

4. Safety & Compliance (HSE Support)

• Ensure compliance with port safety regulations and standard operating procedures (SOP).

• Monitor workplace safety during cargo handling activities.

• Report safety incidents and assist in investigation if required.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain operational records, cargo movement logs, and daily reports.

• Prepare summary reports for management review.

• Ensure accuracy of operational documentation.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with shipping agents, port authorities, contractors, and customers.

• Support communication between internal departments (logistics, HR, finance, operations).

• Handle operational issues and escalate when necessary.

7. Continuous Improvement

• Support initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce turnaround time.

• Assist in implementing process improvements and operational SOP enhancements.
