Job Summary
A Purchasing Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the organization. The role ensures timely procurement of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining strong supplier relationships and complying with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with vendors.
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and timely.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
- Track orders and ensure on-time delivery of materials and services.
- Resolve issues related to supplier performance, delivery delays, or quality concerns.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Prepare procurement reports and analyze purchasing trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
