Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily purchasing activities including supplier sourcing, request for quotation (RFQ), price comparison, and follow-up with suppliers.
  • Support negotiation processes by gathering pricing, payment terms, and delivery information from local and overseas suppliers.
  • Prepare and process purchase requisitions (PR) and purchase orders (PO) in accordance with company procedures.
  • Follow up on order status and ensure timely delivery of materials to support production requirements.
  • Maintain and update supplier records, price lists, and purchasing documentation.
  • Assist in monitoring supplier performance in terms of delivery timelines, quality, and service.
  • Coordinate with production, planning, and other departments to ensure material availability.
  • Support inventory control activities to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize shortages or excess inventory.
  • Assist in warehouse operations including receiving, storage, stock arrangement, and inventory accuracy.
  • Perform stock checks and support periodic inventory audits.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing for all purchasing and warehouse transactions.
  • Coordinate with logistics providers and freight forwarders on shipment arrangements and delivery status.
  • Monitor delivery orders and assist in submitting invoices to Accounts for payment processing.
  • Assist in preparing reports such as scrap price comparison, scrap selling, inventory, and KPI reports.
  • Support compliance activities including documentation for LMW license and customs requirements.
  • Participate in supplier evaluations and audits when required.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by superior or management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Purchasing, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of working experience in purchasing, procurement, warehouse, or supply chain environment.
  • Basic knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with import/export procedures and customs documentation is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and ERP systems.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management skills.
  • Willing to learn and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
