Requirements

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in CNC machining, machine setup, commissioning, or precision manufacturing.

• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and technical documentation.

• Solid understanding of machining parameters, cutting tools, fixtures, and precision measurement techniques.

• Experience in machine setup, process optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Familiarity with machine maintenance procedures and manufacturing safety standards.

• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as:

• Vernier Calipers

• Micrometers

• Height Gauges

• Dial Indicators

• Precision Gauges

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment, including overtime and shift work when required.

• CNC programming knowledge (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.) is an added advantage.

• Basic English reading ability for technical manuals and documentation is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and perform test runs on precision machining equipment.

• Set machining parameters including spindle speed, feed rate, cutting depth, and tooling configurations.

• Conduct first-piece machining trials and verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface quality.

• Adjust and calibrate tools, fixtures, gauges, and supporting equipment to ensure machining accuracy.

• Inspect machine accuracy, spindle performance, positioning precision, and overall machine condition.

• Troubleshoot machining issues such as dimensional deviations, vibration, chatter, tool wear, and surface defects.

• Optimize machining processes to improve production efficiency, quality, and machine utilization.

• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.

• Maintain records of machine commissioning, inspections, troubleshooting activities, and maintenance reports.

• Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, engineering, and maintenance teams.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Provide technical guidance and basic troubleshooting training to machine operators.
