Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Diagnostic Technician to perform advanced vehicle diagnostics, identify complex mechanical and electrical issues, and carry out high-quality repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate diagnosis, efficient repairs, and excellent customer satisfaction.

Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Vehicle Diagnostics

• Perform detailed vehicle diagnostics using OEM and aftermarket scan tools, diagnostic software, and related equipment.
• Accurately identify electrical, mechanical, electronic, and computer-related vehicle issues.
• Diagnose complex technical problems efficiently and recommend appropriate repair solutions.

Technical Communication

• Clearly communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations to the Service Manager.
• Assist in preparing accurate and transparent repair estimates.
• Provide technical explanations and recommendations when required.

Repair Execution

• Perform approved repair and maintenance work efficiently and to high-quality standards.
• Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
• Verify that repairs are completed accurately before vehicle delivery.

Vehicle Testing

• Conduct test drives to verify vehicle concerns and confirm diagnostic findings.
• Perform post-repair testing to ensure all issues have been successfully resolved.
• Ensure vehicles meet quality and safety standards before handover.

Documentation

• Accurately record diagnostic procedures, repair work performed, and parts used.
• Complete job cards and service documentation in accordance with company policies and manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.

Team Support

• Provide technical guidance and support to fellow technicians on complex repair cases.
• Share knowledge and best practices to improve overall workshop performance.
• Collaborate with the Service Department to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.

Continuous Learning

• Keep up to date with the latest diagnostic equipment, vehicle technologies, manufacturer service bulletins, and technical updates.
• Participate in technical training and certification programs as required.

Compliance and Safety

• Follow all dealership safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Technology or a related field.
• Certification or experience in advanced vehicle diagnostics and electronic systems is highly preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in vehicle diagnostics or a related automotive technical role.
• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Proficient in using OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software and scan tools.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Possess a valid driving licence.

Salary

RM2,700 – RM3,500 (Negotiable based on experience) + Performance Incentives

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
