Special Needs Caregiver

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and responsible Special Needs Caregiver to support individuals with special needs in their daily activities, personal care, and development. The ideal candidate is patient, caring, and committed to improving the quality of life of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including toileting and feeding
• Assist special need students with daily routines and close supervision throughout the day
• Prepare and provide meals and snacks as needed
• Provide personal hygiene care, including cleaning and changing clients if they soil themselves
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, tidying, washing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness of the care area
• Support special needs student with daily routines and activities in a safe and structured environment
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and supervision during activities
• Support therapy and learning activities as guided by professionals
• Encourage independence and positive behaviour in clients
• Provide emotional support, companionship, and supervision
• Monitor clients’ wellbeing and report any changes or concerns
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
• Assist with basic documentation and daily care records

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent
• Experience in caregiving, childcare, or special needs support is an advantage
• Patient, caring, and willing to work with individuals with different abilities
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physically fit and able to assist with mobility support
