Role Overview
The Senior Clinic Assistant plays a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring efficient clinic operations. This position is responsible for supporting medical practitioners, supervising Clinic Assistants, coordinating locum doctors, and maintaining operational standards. The role requires strong leadership, clinical support capability, and a commitment to excellent patient service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, guide, and support Clinic Assistants in daily operations.
- Plan, prepare, and manage staff duty rosters and shift schedules.
- Provide structured training and on-the-job coaching to new and existing staff.
- Monitor staff performance and ensure adherence to clinic standards, policies, and procedures.
2. Clinical & Operational Support
- Assist doctors with patient management and basic clinical procedures.
- Prepare and support procedures including:
- Swab tests
- ECG
- Wound dressing
- Eye & ear irrigation
- Minor Surgery
- Ensure treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment are properly prepared and maintained.
3. Locum Doctor Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate locum doctors to meet operational needs.
- Source and arrange locum coverage when required.
- Maintain accurate records of locum doctors (e.g., APC, MMC documentation).
- Process and maintain proper documentation for locum payments.
4. Inventory & Administration
- Monitor and control inventory levels of medical supplies and medications.
- Ensure proper storage and stock management in compliance with clinic standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and administrative documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a clinic or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in clinic management systems (e.g., AVIXO) is preferred.
- Sound knowledge of basic medical procedures and medications.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,350.00 per month
